We are starting to get the cold mornings and colder weather coming in, welcoming the fall season. Now is the perfect time to take a quick look at your home to see if you are prepared for the changing season. I have for you a small checklist for you to consider in the transition from summer to fall. Consider checking your home for water leaks and take precautions to prepare your piping and sprinkler systems for the cold days. Consider checking your roof and gutters for debris and ensuring a proper drainage of rain/snow melt-off. Consider checking your furnace (or have a professional HVAC contractor) for proper functionality, as well as changing filters, changing batteries in smoke/carbon monoxide detectors, and check on your chimney.
Hiring a home inspector can be beneficial to identifying some of these things, as well as other home deficiencies around your house. If you need help, give me a call!
